Paris-based professional make-up brand MAKE UP FOR EVER was founded in 1984 by Dany SANZ. The MAKE UP FOR EVER ACADEMY was also created under the impetus of this inspirer. Later, the brand was integrated by the LVMH Group in 2004. Brussels saw the opening of the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy Brussels in 2005 after Ria Nijssen wanted to continue the mission of the brand 'education & transmission' in the capital of Europe. MAKE UP FOR EVER is the only brand with a global network of schools from Paris to Shanghai: the MAKE UP FOR EVER ACADEMY. Its location at Kunstberg/Mont des Arts is cut out to teach make-up students from all over the world the tricks of the trade in a beautiful creative Brussels environment. Today, the academy welcomes around a hundred future make-up artists every year and teaches in several languages.

“The strength of the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy in Brussels lies in its wide range of professional training courses for everyone, from beginners to professionals.
Because of the quality and depth of our courses, our students are ready to start working in the professional field after completing their training. By combining practice and theory, and the numerous partnerships we have with the professional world, our students know perfectly well what is expected of them in the professional field after graduation. During their internships, students get a taste of professional life, and build their network. Many of them can go on to work after graduation with connections they made during their internships in the Academy.  
Due to our detailed and extensive teaching schedule, our alumni 's are also asked to teach in other schools in and outside Belgium. Our artistic module is one of the many strengths of the Academy, which is why our alumni 's are asked to give specialised make up master classes because of their expertise. Choosing to major in education gives the make up artist a more regular professional life, as the teaching schedule is predefined. This contrasts with the life of a freelancer, where variety is the norm. The working conditions of a freelancer are highly variable, intense periods with lots of assignments alternate with more calming moments. So there is something for every character in the make up world. By training in a renowned school like the MAKE UP FOR EVER Academy, many of our alumni can start their careers immediately after graduation. Our students can get started in any field. Due to our complete teaching schedule, many alumni 's have managed to build beautiful and varied careers, even in rather specific fields like theatre, opera, artistic or TV/cinema. The international nature of the school is a plus for further professional development in Belgium and an international career.  Communication during classes is in English, French and Dutch, so for both multilingual and monolingual students, this is a very valuable learning opportunity.  For a MAKE UP FOR EVER alumni, there are lots of job offers, whether as a make up artist, brand ambassador or sales person. Brands such as MAC, Bobbi Brown, ICI PARIS XL, Benefit Cosmetics, Dior, Chanel engaged our alumni as freelancers or with an open-ended employment contract.
